Step 5: Turn on the hoses and test the system
A. Turn on the water supply
Off
On
Shut-off valves
B. Test the system
Press and release the Test/Reset
button on the control unit.
NOTE: Press the Alarm Off button
immediately after to mute the sound.
The system's alarm goes off, the
automatic valves close, and the
yellow indicator on control unit
starts flashing.
You will also receive a notification
from the RCA Water Shut-Off App
("TEST" will appear on your screen).

Turn the laundry shut off valves 90 degrees clockwise to turn the water supply on for
both hoses. Make sure there are no leaks. If there are leaks, tighten the hose fittings.
Once the valves are completely closed, the control unit will
automatically re-open them again in about 30 seconds.
The yellow light flashes while the valves are reopening.
The green light comes on when they have finished
reopening.
The test process takes about 25 seconds to complete and
return to normal (valves open and green light) status.
If the green light doesn't come back on, unplug the
controller and plug it back in. Then test the system again.
