When using electric appliances, basic precautions

z Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer
to recharge.
z Use this product only with batteries and chargers
listed in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correla-
tion supplement 995000850.
z Use only recommended battery pack. Any attempt
to use another battery pack will cause damage to your
product and could possibly explode, cause a fire, or
personal injury.
z Remove battery pack from product before performing
any routine maintenance or cleaning.
z Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the
battery pack except as indicated in the instructions for
use and care.
z Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts.This will ensure
that the safety of the product is maintained.
z Do not disassemble the product.
z Do not place product or battery pack near fire or heat.
They may explode. Also, do not dispose of a worn out
battery pack by incinerating. Do not incinerate the bat-
tery, even if it is severely damaged or completely worn
out. The battery may explode in fire.
z Do not operate product or charger near flammable
liquids or in gaseous or explosive atmospheres. In-
ternal sparks may ignite fumes.
z Do not store your product in a damp or wet location.
Do not store in locations where the temperature is less
than 50° F or more than 100° F. Do not store in outside
sheds or in vehicles.
z Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or
excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature
above 265°F may cause explosion.
z Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature
range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly
or at temperatures outside of the specified range may
damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
z Refer to the operator's manual for the vehicle or con-
tact the vehicle manufacturer for the proper power
receptacle. This product may not be suitable for being
powered through the cigarette lighter plug.
z Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped
on, tripped over, come in contact with sharp edges
or moving parts or otherwise subjected to damage or
stress. This will reduce the risk of accidental falls, which
could cause injury, and damage to the cord, which could
result in electric shock.
z Do not permit children to use product, lens, and sur-
rounding housing.
z Keep light dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake
fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any strong
solvent to clean the product.
z Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
z Don't expose product to rain. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock or malfunction.
z Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better
control of the product in unexpected situations. Do not
use on a ladder or unstable support.
z Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged
or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk
of injury.
