Safety instructions
Read all the safety and general instructions.
Failure to observe the safety and general in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Keep all the safety and general instructions for future
reference.
Always check the radio, cable and plug before use.
u
Stop using the radio if you discover any damage. Do
not open the radio or plug yourself, and have them re-
paired only by a qualified specialist using only original
replacement parts. Damaged radios, cables and plugs
increase the risk of electric shock.
The mains plug must be plugged in to an easily access-
u
ible plug socket with a protective earth contact.
The mains plug must match the plug socket. Never
u
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with radios. Unmodified plugs and matching plug
sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Completely unwind the mains cable when operating
u
the radio via mains supply. Otherwise the mains cable
can heat up.
Do not misuse the cable, for example by using it to
u
carry, hang up or unplug the radio. Keep the cable
away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric
shock.
Do not expose the radio to rain or wet condi-
tions. Water entering the radio increases the
risk of an electric shock.
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuit-
u
ing.
In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-
u
pours may be emitted. The battery can set alight or ex-
plode. Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical
attention should you experience any adverse effects. The
vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged, flam-
u
mable liquid may be ejected from the battery. Contact
with this liquid should be avoided. If contact accident-
ally occurs, rinse off with water. If the liquid comes
into contact with your eyes, seek additional medical
attention. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause ir-
ritation or burns.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such
u
as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally.
An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to
burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
When the battery is not in use, keep it away from pa-
u
per clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects that could make a connection from one
Bosch Power Tools
terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery
terminals may cause burns or a fire.
Only use the battery with products from the manufac-
u
turer. This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
Only charge the batteries using chargers recommen-
u
ded by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery may pose a fire risk when used with a
different battery.
Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and
short-circuiting.
