MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: This pump is designed for minimum maintenenance. Inspect the
pump and components reqularly for leaks and make sure the hoses are in good
condition. Keep the pump exterior clean to help identify leaks.
IMPORTANT: Do not use this pump for chemicals. Dispensing any fluid other
than those listed in this manual will damage the pump. Use of the pump with
unauthorized fluids will void the warranty.
Clean or Replace Inlet Screen
1.
Unthread the pump and remove from tank.
2.
Remove suction pipe.
3.
Remove spacer from inlet cover (see Figure 5).
4.
Remove inlet screen (see Figure 5).
5.
Clean screen with a soft-bristled brush and solvent, and inspect for damage.
If damaged, replace the screen.
6.
Wipe the entire system with a clean cloth.
7.
Replace inlet screen and spacer.
8.
Reinstall suction pipe, reapplying thread tape, or a thread-sealing compound
approved for use with petroleum fuels, as needed.
9.
Reinstall pump onto the tank, reapplying thread tape, or a thread-sealing
compound approved for use with petroleum fuels, as needed, and turn the
pump to tighten.
