Proper use
The product is intended to be used as an attachment
for cordless drills/screwdrivers with clockwise rota-
tion for inserting Würth blind rivets and Würth drill
rivets of the given diameter and material.
The user is liable for damage resulting
from improper use.
Components
Overview (fig. I)
1 Blind riveting attachment
2 Primary shaft
3 Inspection window / Inspection hole
4 Mouthpiece for blind rivet
5 Blind rivet
6 Drill rivet
Start-up
Mount blind riveting attachment on
driving tool (Figure II)
A cordless drill/screwdriver with a voltage of at least
14,4 V is recommended as the driving tool.
Fit primary shaft [2] on the blind riveting attachment
[1] in the chuck and clamp.
Selecting the mouthpiece
Use either mouthpiece [4] to suit the diameter of the
blind rivets [5] or drill rivets [6] to be used:
Mouthpiece 2.4
Mouthpiece 3.0/3.2 mm Item 0946 20 32
Mouthpiece 4.0 mm
Mouthpiece 4.8/5.0 mm Item 0946 20 50
If a mouthpiece is not used or the wrong mouth-
pieces are used, malfunctions on the blind riveting
attachment cannot be ruled out.
Always use a tool for slackening or tightening
mouthpieces.

Working procedure (Figure III)
At the start of work ensure the inspection hole [3]
on the housing is closed.
If this is not the case, set driving tool to anti-clock-
wise rotation, hold attachment and leave to run until
a "clicking" is heard. In this way it is indicated that
the chuck jaws for the rivet receptacle are in the
forward position and the product is ready for use.
Set driving tool to clockwise rotation. Insert blind
rivet [5] or drill rivet [6] in the matching mouthpiece
[4] on the attachment [1].
Blind rivet (Figure IV - B)
Insert blind riveting attachment with blind rivet fitted
[5] in the hole on the parts to be joined.
After switching on the driving tool, hold the hous-
ing of the blind riveting attachment to initiate the
compression of the rivet shank and so that the rivet
mandrel breaks off at the pre-determined breaking
point.
Drill rivet (Figure IV - A/B)
Place blind riveting attachment with drill rivet [6]
fitted at the position of the joint on the parts to be
joined.
After switching on the driving tool, do NOT hold
onto the housing of the blind riveting attachment.
The drill tip will drill into the parts to be joined until
the drill rivet is sitting in the hole and the rivet head
is in contact.
Now hold the housing of the blind riveting attach-
ment to initiate the compression of the rivet shank
and so that the rivet mandrel breaks off at the pre-
determined breaking point.
Ejecting rivet mandrel (Figure V)
Once the rivet has been set, set the driving tool to
anti-clockwise rotation again and leave to run until
the rivet mandrel in the bind rivet attachment has
been ejected.
Maintenance / Care
The chuck jaws and the primary shaft are to be
cleaned of zinc deposits and oiled from time to time.
Should, despite careful manufacturing procedures
and test procedures, the blind riveting attachment
fail at some point, have the product repaired by an
authorised customer service centre for WÜRTH elec-
trical tools. With all enquires and orders for spare
parts it is imperative you state the 7-digit article
number as per the type plate on the product.
