PFD MAINTENANCE
We make PFDs that exceed the ISO standard for buoyancy and integral
strength. Our CORDURA® fabric shell PFDs are particuarly tough. However,
all gear weathers and wears with use. Look after yours and it will look after
you.
Wash in clean, fresh water after each use to help reduce corrosion or
degradation of materials.
Dry by hanging out of direct sunlight. Frequent forced drying in drying rooms
will shorten the lifespan of the material and foam.
Store on hangers through the shoulder straps. Avoid storing wet or damp.
Avoid stacking or boxing your PFDs for long periods – sustained compression
will damage the foam.
Service once a year by performing a thorough visual inspection. We
recommend that you float test your PFD annually from 3 years after the date
of purchase. A simple float test can be found by searching for 'Palm
Equipment float test' online.
Palm PFDs have a maximum lifespan of 10 years after which they must be
retired regardless of condition.
WARRANTY
All Palm products are fully guaranteed for the original purchaser against
defects in material or workmanship for a period of 24 months from date of
purchase (12 months for professional or commercial use). If your product is
found to be defective please return to your retailer or contact
customerservice@palmequipmenteurope.com. Original proof of purchase will
be required. This guarantee does not a ect your statutory rights.
