Switching off – release pressure on the switch (1).
Locking the switch (continuous operation)
Switching on:
• Press the switch button (1) and hold in this position.
• Press the switch lock button (2) (fig. E).
• Release pressure on the switch button (1).
Switching off:
• Press and release the switch button (1).
FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT FOR BEVEL CUTTING
Disconnect the power tool from power supply.
Adjustable jigsaw footplate allows to make a bevel cut in the range from
0
to 45
(to either side).

• Use the hexagonal key and loosen the footplate (5) fixing screws.
• Move the footplate (5) backwards and tilt right or left (up to 45
• Set the footplate (5) at desired angle, move forward and tighten fixing
screws to secure it (fig. H).
Scale allows for setting the footplate to angles: 0°, 15°, 30° or 45° (right or
left). Always put the hexagonal key in its storage place after adjustment
has been made.
CUTTING
• Put front part of the footplate (5) flat on the material that you plan
to cut.
• Switch on the jigsaw and wait until it reaches its full set rotational
speed.
• Move the jigsaw slowly and guide the blade along previously set
cutting line.
• When cutting curved lines move the jigsaw very carefully.
Cut at a uniform rate, pay attention to avoid overloading the jigsaw.
Excessive pressure applied on the blade will suppress pendulum action
and will affect cutting efficiency unfavourably. Decrease or switch off
the pendulum action completely when cutting along gently curved line.
When the jigsaw footplate does not rest on the processed material
with its whole surface but is lifted above, there is danger of
breaking the blade.
CUTTING A HOLE IN MATERIAL
• Drill a hole in processed material with 10 mm diameter.
• Put blade into the hole and start cutting from that spot.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER JIGSAW USE
Cut at a steady rate, pay attention to avoid overloading the power tool.
Excessive pressure applied on the blade will suppress pendulum action
and will affect cutting efficiency unfavourably. Decrease or switch off
the pendulum action completely when cutting along gently curved line.
If the jigsaw footplate does not move while rested against the
processed material, but is lifted instead, there is a danger of
breaking the blade.
METAL CUTTING / TYPES OF BLADES
Use appropriate blades with more teeth for cutting of metal.
For metal cutting use appropriate lubricant (e.g. cutting oil). Metal
cutting without lubrication leads to rapid wear of blade. The below table
gives the best choices for blade type:

• Use only appropriate and sharp blades.
• Do not use blades with damaged shank.
• Use appropriate blade types.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the power cord from mains socket before commencing any
activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.
• Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
• Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
• Clean the tool with a dry cloth or blow with compressed air at low
pressure.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, they may damage plastic
parts.
• Clean ventilation holes in the motor casing regularly to prevent device
overheating.

Soft steel, non-ferrous metals
Non-ferrous metals, plastics
Wood, plywood:
• Regular lubrication of guiding roller is recommended. A drop of oil
applied in this spot will prolong lifetime of the roller.
• In case of power cord damage replace it with a cord with the same
specification. Entrust the repair to a qualified specialist or return the
tool to a service point.
• In case of excessive commutator sparking, have the technical condition of
carbon brushes of the motor checked by a qualified person.
• Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Immediately replace worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked
motor carbon brushes. Always replace both carbon brushes at a
time.
Entrust replacement of carbon brushes only to a qualified person.
Only original parts should be used.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.

NOISE AND VIBRATION DATA
Information regarding noise and vibration
The following levels of emitted noise, such as emitted acoustic pressure
Lp
and acoustic power level Lw
A
have been given in the instruction manual as defined in the EN 60745
standard.
The following vibration value (acceleration value) a
uncertainty K have been determined as defined in the EN 60745-2-11
standard.
The vibration level provided in this instruction manual have been
determined according to the measurement procedure as defined in the
EN 60745 standard and can be used for comparison of power tools. This
can be used for preliminary assessment of exposure to vibrations.
The provided vibration level is representative for main applications of
the power tool. If the power tool is used for other applications or with
other working tools, and if it is not sufficiently maintained, the vibration
level may vary. The aforementioned reasons may increase the exposure
to vibrations during the entire operating period.
In order to precisely estimate the exposure to vibrations, periods should
be accounted for, in which the power tool is switched off, or when it is
switched on, but not operated. Thus, the total exposure to vibration may
prove considerably lower.
Additional safety measures should be taken to protect the user against
effects of vibrations, such as: maintenance of the power tool and its
working tools, ensuring proper temperature of the hands and proper
organisation of work.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Do not dispose of electrically powered products with household
wastes, they should be utilized in proper plants. Obtain information
on wastes utilization from your seller or local authorities. Used up
electric and electronic equipment contains substances active in
natural environment. Unrecycled equipment constitutes a potential
risk for environment and human health.
