When cutting foam you should maintain a constant temperature and speed. If smoke appears during cutting, it means that the
cuts are being made too slowly or that the blade is too hot, which may cause uneven cuts. This can be remedied by reducing the
temperature and intermittently pressing the tool trigger while cutting. If you notice that the cutting resistance increases, press the
trigger again continuously. This will achieve perfect cuts and prolong the life of the tool blade. Releasing the trigger approximately
5 centimetres before the end of the cut will help to keep the blade clean and free of build-up. The selected blade should not be
more than 20 millimetres thicker than the material to be cut.
1. Always use the thermal knife in ventilated areas.
2. Only use the hot knife when it is in contact with the insulation plate.
3. Keep hot blades away from skin, clothing and other flammable materials.
4. Allow blades to cool before handling. A hot blade can cause injury or burns to exposed surfaces.
Maintenance
Constant use of the thermal knife can cause material build-up on the blades and brass holders. This excess can interfere with
the electrical contacts and impair the performance of the blades. The holders and blades can be cleaned thoroughly with a wire
brush.
Use and handling of battery-powered tools
a) Recharge the battery only in charging devices approved by the manufacturer to avoid risk of fire.
b) Use only batteries that are designed for use in the thermal knife. Use of other types of batteries may cause fire and injury.
c) When the battery is not in use, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects that
can cause the contacts to connect. If the battery comes in contact with a short circuit, it may cause burns or fire.
d) Fluid may leak from the battery if used improperly. Avoid contact with such fluid. In case of accidental contact with the body,
flush the area with water. If battery fluid comes into contact with the eyes, seek medical advice in addition. Battery fluid
escaping from the battery may cause burns and skin irritation.
e) Do not open the battery, as this carries the risk of short-circuiting. Keep the battery away from heat and fire due to the risk
of explosion.
f) If the battery is damaged or used improperly, vapours may escape from the battery. Remove to fresh air and seek medical
advice in case of symptoms. Vapours may cause respiratory tract irritation.
g) If the battery is defective, liquid may leak from the battery and stain nearby objects. Check affected parts, clean or replace if
necessary.
Quick replacement of the rechargeable battery
Rated voltage: 36 V.
Capacity: Li-ion 2.0Ah

Battery charging
The battery is partially charged at the time of delivery. To ensure full battery power, fully charge the battery in the charger before
first use. Pay attention to the charge indicator on the charging device. The lithium-ion battery can be recharged at any time
without affecting its service life. Interrupting the charging process does not damage the battery. The battery is equipped with a
temperature monitoring system that only allows charging between 0°C and 45°C.
Do not dispose of batteries in household waste, do not dispose of them in fire or water. Batteries must be collected and recycled
or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Only valid for EU countries: According to the European regulation 91/157 / EWG, defective and exhausted batteries must be
recycled. Non-functioning batteries can be taken to your point of sale or disposed of directly in an environmentally friendly
manner.
