4. General safety notes/guarantee
• Take notice of the legislation and provisions to be applied in dealing with hazardous materials.
• Only use the hazardous material workplace in a proper condition.
• Make sure that there are no air currents above 0.2 m/s when selecting the place of erection as this can affect the
functional capability.
• The users are to be trained on handling of the hazardous material workplace.
• Observe the maximum weight with which the cabin may be loaded.
• Please check the material resistance of all surfaces for the use of aggressive materials.
• Any hazardous materials that escape must immediately be collected and removed.
• Take note of all information in these operating instructions.
• Please follow the instructions of the safety specialists, technical monitoring services, construction supervision etc.
• Please observe accident prevention and workplace regulations.
• The required exhaust air flow is to be provided on site.
• The guarantee for this product is agreed between you (the customer) and your dealer (the seller). Independently of
this, the manufacturer provides a guarantee for the products listed in the operating instructions for 24 months after
the date of sale. All model safety equipment are subject to a compulsory annual inspection by specialised staff
authorised by the manufacturer. If this inspection is not carried out annually, or not carried out by specialised staff
authorised by the manufacturer, the customer's guarantee claims against the manufacturer will be invalidated.
5. Start up / operation
Testing before setup: Adequate ground loading capacity. Point loads on the 4 supports of the frame (ca. 12 cm 2 ) see:

Pre start up / DIY installation:
• Set up the hazardous material workplace horizontally by means of the adjustable feet fitted on the optional support
frames.
• Make on site extraction air connection
• Avoid negative influences on the flow behaviour in the hazardous material workplace due to:
- Open windows and doors at the place of erection (creation of air currents)
- Placing of large containers and objects directly in front of the inlet nozzles of the fresh air curtain
- Incorrect operation (i.e. no fast movements > 1m/s)
Operation
• Connect the power = Built-in fully insulated safety plug with 3 m mains cable on the top part.
• Insert the mains cable into an available 230 V mains socket.
• Top green LED (mains supply) illuminates
GAP.95.xx.x series
• On/off operation: Activate the toggle switch, centre green LED (operation) illuminates
• On/off light: Activate the left toggle switch
GAP.125.xx.x series
• On/off operation: Push button on the radio remote control
• On/off light: Push button on the radio remote control
• Toggle switch on the top panel is eliminated.
Earthed sockets (optional utilities duct):
2 off for GAP.95 / 125.9-15.6 / 7 models
4 off for GAP.95 / 125.18-24.6 / 7 models
Utilities supply (optional): Operation of the gas and water outlets by means of rotary valves (gas tapping only
possible if the rotary valve is slightly depressed beforehand)
6. Functional check, maintenance and care
Continuous functional testing of the hazardous material workplace during operation through the integrated ventilati-
on monitoring unit.
Annual maintenance and functional test (para 4 section / workplace regulations) by a specialist.
Cleaning with normal mild household cleaners. Escaped fluids should be collected /removed immediately.
