STEP 7
START UP THE SYSTEM
1. Check that all three filter cartridges are in the lock position.
2. Turn on cold water supply valve and check for leaks.
3. Turn the handle on the "Feed Water Adapter" so that it is parallel with the
"White PE Tubing".
4. Insert the plug of the "Power Adapter" into the "Power Outlet."
5. The system starts flushing automatically for 5 minutes. DO NOT TURN ON
THE ROYAL PRESTIGE FRESCAFLOW FAUCET.
Note: After powering up for the first time there will be one beep. The filter life indicators
will flash blue, yellow, and red in turn and then turn blue for 5 minutes. The faucet filter
life indicators will flash blue, yellow, and red in turn for 1 second. The faucet displays the
flushing status, and the outer ring light will flash clockwise. DO NOT turn on the Royal
Prestige
FrescaFlow Faucet. Allow the system to flush automatically for 5 minutes; the
®
three indicator lights will be off when the flush is complete.
Note: The water is not drinkable during the automatic flush.
6. Once the 5 minute automatic flush has ended, turn on Royal Prestige
FrescaFlow Faucet. Allow it to run for 30 minutes until the faucet display
screen shows a TDS reading.
Note: Be sure to carefully check the tightness of each part of the system while flushing.
Check and ensure all tubing is installed correctly. Make sure there are no leaks at the
joint fittings, valves, or tubing connections.
Note: The water is not drinkable during the flushing cycle. The 30 minutes are
cumulative. If the flush is stopped before the 30 minutes have elapsed, the system will
continue to flush when you open the Royal Prestige
reaches 30 minutes.
7. Confirm the flush is complete before turning off the Royal Prestige
FrescaFlow Faucet.
DRILLING A HOLE IN YOUR COUNTERTOP
Disclaimer: Drilling of surfaces made of stone or solid surface materials such as granite,
marble, Corian™ or other plastic resin products or sinks made of porcelain or stainless
steel may cause permanent, irreparable damage to the sink or countertop surface.

For your own protection, wear safety glasses and take the necessary safety
precautions before drilling.
PREPARATION
• Confirm you do not have an existing hole in your countertop.
• Prepare the Work Area: Clear the area of any objects and make sure the surface is
clean and dry.
• Put on safety goggles, a dust mask, and ear protection.
• Set up a water-cooling system if you have one. If not, have a water bottle or a damp
sponge handy to cool the bit as you drill.
• If you do not have an existing hole, follow these steps.
• If your countertop is thicker than 2.95" or 7.49 cm, the faucet cannot be installed. To
gain full understanding, Hy Cite Enterprises recommends familiarizing yourself with
the process through videos and research. Your Royal Prestige
with a sticker template to help identify the proper location for drilling a hole.
• Determine where you are going to install your Royal Prestige
• Check to ensure the Royal Prestige
FrescaFlow Faucet will mount flat against the
®
mounting surface.
• Visually review the routing of the tubes from the Royal Prestige
assembly to the faucet. Check to ensure there is adequate tube routing space
between the faucet and filter assembly.
• Attach and securely fasten specified drill bit based on countertop material.
• For a granite and marble countertop, you will choose a diamond core drill bit.
• For a Corian™ countertop, you will choose a stainless-steel drill bit.
• Never use a hammer drill on natural stone, glass, or ceramic countertops.
• For stainless steel sinks, you will need to make an indent with a center punch to
provide a guide for the drill to follow.
• If you have a porcelain sink, do not apply excessive force because the sink could
easily chip. However, you will need to apply some pressure on the bit until it breaks
through the surface.
BEGIN DRILLING
1. Place sticker template on your countertop or sink. Using a pencil, mark the center of
the sticker template. Begin drilling slowly, using low pressure, allowing the bit to do
the work. Drill a hole measuring 1" in diameter. The sticker template will show you the
exact size needed.
2. Periodically stop and apply water to the drill bit to keep it cool.
3. To keep bit from moving over the counter, drill at a low speed while firmly holding the
drill straight. Maintain at a 90-degree angle from the surface.
4. After you break through the surface, apply slight pressure to the drill to even out the circle.
5. Clean up any debris and check the hole for any irregularities.
6. For marble if you notice any irregularities or chipping you can use a fine grit
sandpaper to smooth out areas.
Note: If you're not experienced with drilling consider hiring a professional to avoid
potential damage. Always follow the instructions and recommendations of the drill
and drill bit manufacturer. Practice on a scrap piece of similar material if possible.
