PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1.1 Intended Use
The CWS4 (further referred to as ear sensor) is part of the CowManager system and is meant
to be installed in a cow's ear to collect information about the ear temperature, activity,
rumination and eating behavior of a cow. The device transmits the collected data via
wireless communication to the system.
1.2 Limitation of liability
Installing, handling, and using the product by the customer is beyond the company's
control. Therefore, CowManager does not assume responsibility for any loss, damage or
expense resulting from improper installation, handling, or misuse including – without
limitation – bodily harm, injury, or damage to property in connection with system
information and the instructions set forth in this manual.
CowManager B.V. and its affiliates are not liable for damages and/or losses related to
security breaches, any unauthorized access, interference, intrusion, leakage, and/or theft of
data or information, except for as explicitly provided by the terms of an agreement between
the parties, see details in CowManager Terms and Conditions and NLDigital Terms.
1.3 Symbols and Markings
The approval overview can be found in the back of this booklet.
WARNING

Disposal of the ear sensor; please do not throw away the
ear sensor with the general household waste. Please use the
designated separate collection system for those products (e.g.
small electronics, small chemical waste).
Ingress protection code is 67.
The CE mark shows that the ear sensor meets the requirements
for safety and health (Article 3.1(a)), electromagnetic
compatibility (Article 3.1(b)), and the efficient use of the radio
spectrum (Article 3.2) of the RED directive 2014/53/EU.
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
