Inserting/removing the tool
attachment (Fig. 1)
WARNING
Tool attachments may be sharp and become hot during
use. Always wear protective gloves when handling the
tool attachments.
CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when
the product is in operation.
Note:
* = not included in the scope of delivery!
1. Turn the quick-release chuck (2) anti-clockwise until
the chuck opening (1) is large enough to insert the
tool attachment*.
2. Insert the tool attachment* into the quick-release
chuck (2) as far as possible.
3. Turn the quick-release chuck (2) clockwise to clamp
the tool attachment* tight.
4. To remove the tool attachment* again, untwist the
quick-release chuck (2) and remove the tool attach-
ment*.

Test run (Fig. 1)
Note:
Before the first work and after each tool attachment
change, carry out a test run without load. Switch off the
product immediately if the tool attachment runs out of
round, there is considerable vibration or abnormal noises
are heard.
1. Before operation, check whether the tool attachment
is properly attached, i.e. centred in the quick-release
chuck (2).
2. Screw bits are marked with their dimensions and
shape. If you are unsure, always try out first whether
the bit sits in the screw head without play.

Adjusting the direction of rotation
(Fig. 1)
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation switch may only be actuated
when idle.
With the direction of rotation switch, you can select the di-
rection of rotation of the product (clockwise or anti-clock-
wise) and secure the product from being switched on un-
intentionally. The arrow on the direction of rotation switch
indicates the working direction.
1. Wait until the product has come to a standstill.
2. Push the direction of rotation switch (11) to the de-
sired position:
3. Switch lock: Put the direction of rotation switch in the
centre position.

ATTENTION
The torque adjusting ring may only be actuated when
idle.
Note:
A clear ratcheting sound is heard when reaching the pre-
set torque limit. This noise is caused by the slip clutch.
Note:
You can preset the maximum torque by turning the torque
adjusting ring (3) and, by turning the mode selection ad-
justing ring (4), select the screw setting
and hammer-drill setting . There are 19 torque levels + 1
screw setting + 1 drill setting + 1 hammer-drill setting.
• Select a low level for small screws or soft materials.
• Select a high level for large screws, hard materials or
when unscrewing screws.
• For drilling work, select the drill setting by adjusting
the mode selection adjusting ring (4) into position .
• For hammer-drilling work, select the hammer-drill set-
ting by adjusting the mode selection adjusting ring (4)
into position .

The speed can be steplessly controlled by the on/off

If you put the direction of rotation switch (11) in the
centre position, the product is secured from being
switched on.
