CLEAN FUEL FILTER
To clean fuel filter, drain yourunitby .
runningdry offuel, removefuel caplre
tainer assemblyfrom tank. Pullfilter
from tankand removefrom line. Clean
with milddetergentand rinse.Dry thor-
oughly,reassemble.
CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
WARNING: The chainwillbe moving
dudngmostof thisprocedure.Wear
yourprotectiveequipmentand observe
alt safety precautions. D uringthe low
speed mixtureadjustmentrecheckidle
speed after each turnof the screw.The
chainmust not moveat idle speed.

Old fuel, a dirtyairfilter,dirtyfuel filter,
or flooding may give the impression of
an improperlyadjustedcarburetor.
Check these conditions beforeadjust-
ing the carburetor.
The carburetorhas been carefullyset at
the factory. Adjustments may be neces-
sary ifyou noticeany of the following
conditions:
• Chain movesat idle.See "idleSpeed",

• Saw will not idle. See "IdleSpeed"

• Enginedies or hesitateswhen it
