Search Operation
When the Search Button
[18
is depressed, the tonearm
rises and slowly moves over the record toward the center
until the button is released.
Depress the Cue Button to
lower the tonearm to the record surface and start
record
play.
If the Search
Button
is depressed only
once, the tonearm will move to the innermost grooves of
the record; if depressed once more, the tonearm will
return to the outermost grooves.
Use the Search Button
to simplify manual operation.
Precautions
Before Playing a Record
Dust and other foreign particles accumulate on the
stylus tip during record play.
This buildup should be
periodically removed with a soft brush made specifically
for this purpose.
Never touch the stylus with your
fingers.
It is a good idea to clean a record both before and
after use to assure optimum
sound quality and long
life.
Put records back in the jacket immediately after use.
Also avoid stacking records as the records may bend
from their own weight.
Always
hold a record by its edges; touching the
grooves with your fingers can cause scratches,
accumulations of dust, and skipping.
While Playing a Record
Do not attempt to slow down, stop, or reverse the
direction of the turntable with your hand as it may
cause serious damage.
Close the dust cover during record play and do not
place any objects on top of it.
Do not move the unit or touch the tonearm
during
record play.
{f the turntable receives vibrations during record play,
howling may occur.
Howling is caused when the
cartridge picks up vibrations from the speakers and
transmits them
back to the amplifier where they are
sent back to the speakers, the cartridge again, and so
on.
To prevent howling, the turntable should
not
touch another object, particularly another audio
component.
Also, be sure the speakers are sufficiently
separated and aligned so they do not affect the
turntable.
In especially difficult cases,
use of an
insulating
material
may
be necessary.
Other Precautions
Do not place anything other than records on the
turntable
platter.
© Do not place anything other than a cartridge and the
45 rpm
adapter on the cabinet.
