†Check GEN Fault contact is open (battery disconnected)

Verify load is operating correctly.
5.
Disconnect mains power.
Standby battery
1.
Attach supplied battery cables to the terminal block and
battery.
Note: ensure correct polarity of battery connections: +ve use
red lead, -ve use black lead.
2.
Mount battery to avoid ALL lid fixing screws.
3.
Apply mains power. Check green Mains LED is on.
4.
Check there is no fault indication on Red LED.
5.
†Check EPS and GEN Fault contacts are CLOSED.
6.
Disconnect mains power. Check that the batteries
continue to supply voltage and current to the load. The
green LED should be off.
Note:
Batteries must have sufficient charge to supply the load
7.
†Check EPS Fault contact is OPEN (no mains).
8.
Reconnect mains power. Green LED should be on †and
EPS Fault contact CLOSED.
9.
Remove Load fuse and check red Fault LED is on or
flashing †and GEN Fault contact is OPEN.
10. Replace Load fuse. Check red Fault LED is off †and GEN
Fault contact is CLOSED.

Tamper
1.
Connect the tamper switch to the appropriate inputs of the
Control & Indicating Equipment (CIE)

Close cover and secure using fastening screw(s) provided.
Alternatively fit the cover in place, the correct orientation is with
the cover retaining feature engaging over the bottom lip of the
base, fasten with screws supplied.

Check that the tamper switch is:
CLOSED when the lid/cover is closed and the retaining
screws are fitted.
OPEN when the retaining screws are removed the
lid/cover is open.
Use fine adjustment screw if necessary to align set
position indicator with set point.
4.
Close the lid/cover and fasten.
5.
Re-check the tamper circuit is closed at the control panel.
Operating instructions
This unit is intended for use by Service Personnel only - There
are NO USER SERVICEABLE parts inside.
The green Mains LED will be illuminated whilst the mains
supply is present. In the event of a fault condition, the red Fault
LED will be illuminated †or flash and the corresponding (EPS
or GEN) fault signal contacts will open.
Maintenance
There is no regular maintenance required of the PSU other
than periodic testing and replacement of the standby battery.
Reference should be made to the battery manufacturer's
documentation to determine typical/expected battery life with a
view to periodic replacement of the battery.
If the output of the PSU fails the cause of the failure should be
investigated e.g. short circuit load. The fault should be rectified
before restoring power to the PSU. The fuses may need to be
replaced. Ensure the correct fuse rating and type is used.
