Removing the tool attachment (15/
16/ 17/ 18/ 19) (Fig. 1, 3)
1. Pull the locking sleeve (3) backwards and remove the
tool attachment (15/ 16/ 17/ 18/ 19).
8.4
Fitting the depth stop (4) (Fig. 1)
1. Slide the depth stop (4) into the small opening on the
additional handle (13). The teeth on the depth stop (4)
should point downwards.
2. Position the depth stop (4) so that the distance be-
tween the tip of the tool attachment (15/ 16/ 17/ 18/
19) and the tip of the depth stop (4) corresponds to
the desired drilling depth.
3. Tighten the depth stop locking screw (5) to determine
the depth stop (4).

Operation
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying
out any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, tool
change, etc.) and when transporting and storing it.
There is a risk of injury if the on/off switch is operated
unintentionally.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
ATTENTION
The product is part of the 20V IXES series and may on-
ly be operated with batteries of this series. Batteries
may only be charged with battery chargers of this se-
ries. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.
9.1
Selecting operating mode (Fig. 1)
ATTENTION
The operating mode may only be changed at a stand-
still.
1. Use the operating mode selector switch (6) to choose
the operating mode of the product.
2. Turn the mode selector switch (6) to the desired posi-
tion.
When the desired position is reached, the mode selec-
tor switch (6) audibly engages.

1. Set the mode selector switch (6) to the symbol
2. Turn the tool attachment* in the SDS-Plus tool receiv-
er (1) to the required position.
3. Select the symbol for the chisel operation with the
mode selector switch (6)
9.2
Adjusting the direction of rotation
(Fig. 1)
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation switch may only be actuated
when idle.
With the direction of rotation switch, you can select the di-
rection of rotation of the product (clockwise or anti-clock-
wise) and secure the product from being switched on un-
intentionally. The arrow on the direction of rotation switch
indicates the working direction.
1. Wait until the product has come to a standstill.
2. Push the direction of rotation switch (7) to the desired
position:
– Clockwise rotation: Press the direction of rota-
tion switch to the right.
– Anti-clockwise rotation: Press the direction of
rotation switch to the left.
3. Switch lock: Put the direction of rotation switch in the
centre position.
9.3
On/Off switch (8) (Fig. 1)
1. To switch on the product, push the on/off switch (8).
2. To switch off, release the on/off switch (8).
If you put the direction of rotation switch (7) in the cen-
tre position, the product is secured from being
switched on.
9.3.1
LED work lamp (14) (Fig. 1)
This product is equipped with an LED work lamp to illumi-
nate the immediate work area and improve visibility in
poorly lit environments.
CAUTION
Do not look directly into the LED work lamp or the light
source.
1. The LED work lamp (14) lights up automatically as
soon as the product is switched on.
Note:
The LED work lamp remains lit up for approx. 10 seconds
after the product is switched off.
9.4
Test run (Fig. 1)
Note:
Before the first work and after each tool attachment
change, carry out a test run without load. Switch off the
product immediately if the tool attachment runs out of
round, there is considerable vibration or abnormal noises
are heard.
