• When operating at heights, be aware of things
below and around you.
• When tool is not in use, shut off the air supply
and press trigger or lever to relieve air pressure.
• If tool is not to be used for a period of time,
lubricate it, disconnect it from the air supply line
and store it in a dry place with moderate
temperature.
• Store tools when not being used in a high, dry
and locked area that can not be accessed by
children.

• Release the start-stop device in the case of
interruption of energy supply.

• Call for minimum gripping length of 10 mm on

router cutter in die grinder.

changing accessories or making repairs.
• Never direct exhaust or air at yourself or
anyone else.
• Whenever universal twist couplings are used
always use lock pins and whipcheck safety
cables to safeguard against hose-to-tool
connection failure.
• Attach air lines securely.
• Do not carry tool by hose.
• Check the air hose and fittings regularly for wear.
• Do not connect quick-connect couplings directly
to the tool.
• Use a whip air hose no longer than 60" (150 cm).
Whipping compressed air hose can cause injury.

possible.
• Overhang of the mounted point will decrease the
permitted speed.
• Use the right tool. Do not use a tool that is too
light or too heavy for the work.

maximum air pressure.

practices and observe all local, regional or
country legal requirements when installing,
using or maintaining this tool.
Improper use can cause injury.
Improper parts, maintenance, repairs, and/or lack of
maintenance can create hazards. These hazards can

• Replace the consumable/inserted tool to prevent
an increase in noise and vibration levels.
• Do not modify or make temporary repairs. Use

maintenance and repair. Servicing and repairs
should be performed only by trained personnel.
• Use only lubricants that are recommended by
Snap-on Tools Company.
• Do not use the tool if it vibrates too much, makes
unusual noises, has loose parts, or shows any
other sign of damage.
• If tool malfunctions, discontinue use and
immediately arrange for service and repair. If it
is not practical to remove the tool from service,
shut off the tool air supply, write a warning tag
and attach the tag to the tool.
• Do not remove any manufacturer fitted safety
devices (e.g., wheel guards, safety trigger,
speed governors).
• If this tool becomes damaged beyond repair,
disassemble and degrease the tool. Then
separate all parts by material type and recycle.
Check speed of the tool regularly; also check speed
and do a simple check for vibration after every
servicing.
Die Grinder Safety Messages
Using damaged and incorrect grinding accessories
can cause flying particles.
• Check free speed of tool regularly without the
inserted bit installed.
• Use only the sizes and types of accessories and
consumables recommended by Snap-on Tools
Company.
• Avoid direct contact with the inserted tool during
and after use as it could be hot or sharp.
• A grinding wheel that bursts can cause severe
injury or death.
• Use only inserted tools of the correct shaft
diameter.
• Using mounted points with a shaft that doesn't
match collet size can cause severe injury or death.
• Do not mount a grinding wheel, cut-off wheel, or
router cutter in die grinder.
• Do not use chipped, cracked, damaged or
unbalanced grinding accessories.
• Use accessories rated at tool RPM (product
specific) or higher.
• Never operate a rotary file at a speed higher than
the rated speed.
• Die grinders have a run down time between the
stop command and the actual stopping of the
tool. Treat the tool as if it is in operation during
this time.
• Fully insert and securely tighten accessories into
the spindle before operating the die grinder.
• Operate the die grinder with accessories pointing
away from your body.
• Disconnect the grinder from the energy supply
before changing abrasive product and servicing.
Flying particles can cause injury.
