intensive use of the camera, the solar panel internal battery may not be charged fast enough,
and therefore, it is recommended to equip the camera with batteries for optimal performance.
• Charging the built-in battery
The battery can be charged using solar power or a power adapter (not supplied).
‒ Solar charging
For best results, place the solar panel in direct sunlight. The sunlight quality plays a key role in
determining the speed of charge. Cloudy days will increase the time needed to charge the built-
in battery. The brighter the sunlight, the faster the charge.
‒ AC charging with power supply and C-type cable (not supplied)
Connect a C-type cable to the solar panel's IN socket (no. 4 on the diagram), then plug it into a
mains socket to start charging.
• Installation
Adjust the angle of the bracket so that the solar panel is directly facing the sun. For a maximized
performance, ensure the solar panel is facing south, in an un-shaded position and ideally tilted
at a 45 degree angle. This will prevent the need to change its orientation every season and
ensure its continued efficiency. However, please note that the ideal orientation depends on the
specific situation of the set-up site.
