SAFETY TESTER (10XL only)
This function does not use the meter's battery and the
display remains blank. O Set the Function/Range switch to
any position in Safety Tester range. @ Connect red test lead
to V-Q input and black test lead to COM input. € Connect
probe tips to voltage source. O The Safety Tester LEDs will
light in sequence up to the threshold of voltage that is
present.
Both yellow and red LEDs at 6V light for AC
voltage. If only the red LED at 6V lights, the voltage is a
plus DC signal. If only the yellow LED at 6V lights, the
voltage is a minus DC signal (with respect to black test lead,
which should be connected to ground potential).
