Replace the nylon line spool (see figure)
• Remove the spool assembly from the trimmer. To do so, hold the outer ribbed part of the
assembly with one hand, while pushing down and turning the spool head with the other
to unlock it. The spool carrier and spool will now disassemble easily.
Note: There is a spring inside the head that could easily be lost. Ensure that
it is put in a safe place.
• Insert the line through the eyelet in the spool carrier and slide the spool into it.
• Making sure to insert the spring, assemble the spool and spool carrier back onto the
trimmer. To do so, push the spool cover until it locks.
• To test if the line is advancing properly, push the button with your thumbs while pulling the
wire with your fingers. The line should advance freely.
Note: use only the manufacturer's recommended replacement spool.
8. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
• Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
• To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine storage area free of grass, leaves or excessive
grease.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Use only manufacturer-recommended replacement parts and accessories.
• Never clean or spray a machine with water. Clean the motor housing only with a moist cloth
and never use detergents or solvents! These could ruin the plastic parts of the machine.
Finally, dry the motor housing carefully.
• Store the machine with the supplied protection cover.
• Don't operate the tool before it is assembled completely.
• The user must not personally disassemble the protective guard when cleaning the tool. It
should be sent to the
• Maintenance Station for cleaning work.
