WARNING: Keep these instructions with the product and fill in the identification sheet, entering the information
taken from the markings.
WARNING:
The periodic examination is essential to test the resistance and condition of the equipment and to
guarantee the safety of the user.
WARNING:
Read all safety warnings,
instructions, illustrations and specifications
provided with this product. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in serious injury.
•
A Competent person must examine this
equipment at least once each year in strict
compliance with the instructions of the
manufacturer and the previous check must be
recorded on the attached sheet.
•
The frequency of inspection should be increased
in accordance with the regulations, if the
equipment is in heavy usage or if the equipment
is used in harsh environments. Also ensure that
the markings are legible.
The steel connectors should be inspected prior to each
use as per the following guidelines:
a ) Do not use if any part of the device appears to be
damaged.
b ) Do not attempt to service the device or alter it in
any way.
D

c )
connectors should be used only with
E
the combinations of components, sub-systems
or both which may not affect or interfere with
the safe function of one another. Be certain
that connecting devices are compatible and
that other elements of the PFAS are safe and
compatible before use.
d ) Always check for obstructions below the work
area to make sure that the potential fall path is
clear.
e ) Keep the equipment away from anything that
could damage it such as sharp edges, rough or
abrasive surfaces, high temperature surfaces,
heat and welding sources, moving machinery,
electrical hazards, etc.
f ) It is important to keep in mind environmental
hazards when selecting fall protection
equipment.
g ) Do not expose the equipment to chemicals,
highly corrosive or caustic environments, or to
direct sunlight and UV radiation, which may
cause UV degradation.

h ) Such harmful environments require a more
frequent inspection and servicing program of
the fall protection equipment to maintain the
integrity and safety of the equipment. Contact

if in doubt.
E
i ) All the synthetic material of fall protection
equipment must be protected from slag, hot
sparks, open flames or other heat sources.
j ) It is recommended that heat resistant materials
are used in such applications. It is important to
allow adequate fall clearance below the work
surface.
k ) Always have a Rescue Plan ready and at hand
when using this equipment.

to injuries and or death by compromising the
safety and reliability of the complete system.
A Qualified person can make a determination
on compatibility of equipment from different
manufacturers.
•
Compatibility of Connectors: Connectors
(D-rings, hooks, carabiners) must be capable
of supporting at least 5000 lbs. (23 kN). Do not
use equipment that is not compatible. Non-
compatible connectors may unintentionally
disengage. Self-locking snap hooks and
Carabiners are required by CSA, ANSI and OSHA.
Connectors must be compatible in size, shape,
and strength.
•
Making Connections: Only use self-locking

Protection equipment. Do not use equipment
that is not compatible.
WARNING: It is the responsibility of the users to ensure that they read, understand, and follow all instructions
and are trained in the care and use of this device. Training should be repeated periodically and any time there
is a change of components within the system. Training must be conducted without exposing the trainee to a
fall hazard
WARNING: Do not attempt to disassemble the unit or make repairs to the equipment. Send the equipment back
to the manufacturer, or persons or entities authorized in writing by the manufacturer to make repairs to the
equipment.
WARNING:
Cleaning after use is important for maintaining the safety and life of the equipment. Use only mild
soap and water, and hang to dry in shade.
MAINTENANCE, CLEANING & STORAGE:
•
Connectors and hooks that have been found to
be unsuitable for further use, must always be
tagged as "Unsuitable". Never attempt to repair
the equipment on your own. Send the tagged
equipment to an authorized service center
(where the authorization has been received from
the manufacturer in writing), or back to the
Fall
manufacturer for replacement of components
and repair.
•
If soiled, the connectors may be wiped off clean
with a dry clean cloth. You may periodically
lubricate the area around the hinge and inner
sleeve on both the sides of the carabiner, using
a light weight penetrant oil. Contact D
any further query.
•
Additional maintenance and servicing procedure
must be completed at an authorized service
center only.
•
Store the hooks and connectors in a cool dry
clean environment, away from direct sunlight.
Avoid areas where there may be the presence
chemical vapors, heat, excessive moisture,
oil or other degrading elements. Soiled, wet
or contaminated connectors should first be
thoroughly cleaned and dried, before placing
them in storage.
•
It is extremely important to thoroughly inspect
the connectors after extended storage. This
inspection should be performed by a competent
Fall
person only.
NEVER use bleach or bleach solutions
to clean anchor.
TRAINING:
•
It is essential that the users of this type of
equipment receive proper training and
instruction, including detailed procedures for
the safe use of such equipment in their work
application. (ANSI/ASSE Z359.2, 'Minimum
Requirements for a Comprehensive Managed
Fall Protection Program' , establishes guidelines
and requirements for an employer's managed
fall protection program.) These include policies,
duties and training, fall protection procedures,
eliminating and controlling fall hazards,
rescue procedures, incident investigations, and
evaluating program effectiveness.

LIFESPAN:
•
The lifespan of any component of a personal fall
arrest system (PFAS) is dependent upon its level
of use, the environment in which it is used and
how it is maintained. Any part of the PFAS that
passes daily inspection by an Authorized person
or periodic (annual or semiannual) inspection
by a Competent person, can stay in use. Once it
fails visual inspection it must be removed from
service.
