04. CAMERA INSTALLATION
1. Choose where to mount the camera. It is best to position the camera so that
the display preview shows as much of the area in front of the car as possible.
Make sure that the camera does not obstruct the driver's view while driving.
2. Mount the bracket on the windscreen, then install the camera in it.
3. Route the USB cable so that it does not impede driving.
4. Route the reversing camera cable and plug it into the camera.
5. Connect the mini USB plug to the camera and plug the charger into the
12/24V cigarette lighter socket.
Where to mount the additional camera included in the kit depends on your
preference . The camera complies with waterproof standards IP67 (completely
dustproof and protected against immersion in water - max. 30 minutes at a depth
of up to 1 metre).
Back-up camera connection:
Connect the back-up camera cable to the AV port, which is located on the main
video recorder housing. Make sure the main unit can see the secondary camera (if
not, check the camera settings in the main menu or
check that the camera cables have been installed correctly).
Reversing camera installation:
The wires coming out of the rear camera should be connected to the wires feeding
the reverse lamp. Connecting the wires in this way will allow the rear camera view
to be activated when reversing. The outgoing installation should be well insulated
and should not be mechanically stressed.
ATTENTION ! Mount the rear camera with the mounting foot upwards. Mounting
with screws or double-sided tape.
ATTENTION ! The rear view camera captures a mirror image.
