If you then want to show another film right
away, do not switch off the projector lamp.
e The projector lamp is switched off with the
lamp switch 74,

switch 73 when it has cooled off.
Remove the film reel.
e Depress the unlock buttons 10 and fold the
reel arms.
Maintenance and Care
Before doing any maintenance work make sure
to disconnect the power cord.
The projector lamp life is 250 hours, on an
average. The operating hours counter 71 indi-
cates the operating hours of the projector
lamp.
(Hint: When connected to 60 Hz the indica-
tion of the operating hours counter is 20% too
high. Example: Counter shows 120 hours =
actual lamp operating time 100 hours).
The projector lamp must be réplaced only
when its brightness is no longer satisfactory.

e Disconnect the power cord
@ Make sure to let the lamp cool off!
e Remove the lamphouse cover 19 after
loosening the screw.
Hint:
A safety switch ensures that the power
supply of the projector is cut off when the
lamphouse cover 19 has been removed.
Pull the two clamping springs 78 out of the
guide pins 79 and swing them either up or
down.
e Remove the lamp 81 from the lamp holder
80.
e Depress the upper and the lower power
plug hook 76 and pull out the lamp plug77.
Insert the new lamp:
First insert the lamp plug 77 into the
socket.
Press back both clamping springs 78 and
insert the lamp 81 into the lamp holder 80
(long cable up).
Lock the lamp with the aid of the two
clamping springs 78.
There is no need to adjust the lamp.
Hint:
See to it that the lamp plug 77 and the lamp 81
itself are firmly seated in the holder 80.

Put on the lamphouse cover 19 and tighten
the screw.
Exchange the exciter lamp
as described for the P8 TS universal.
Clean the projector
as described for the P 8 TS universal.
