Tilt the grinder at a correct angle of 10º to 15º for easier gripping and smooth grinding. This increases the removability of
the disc and prevents unnecessary overload.
Apply gentle but persistent pressure to the work surface on the disc for increased grinding efficiency. It will never be neces-
sary to force the machine. The weight of the machine applies adequate pressure. Sudden or excessive pressure overloads
the motor, which would cause a drop in its speed, in this way the disc would be tensioned and could break.
When using a new disc, DO NOT move the disc forward on the workpiece. This will cause the edge of the disc to cut on
the surface of the workpiece. Move the grinder toward you while you are grinding.
Do not use a center depressed disc that is 3 "in diameter. Continuing to use a disc in that state can be dangerous and
result in the disc exploding and serious personal injury.
Note: Do not turn the machine on or off when the grinder is in contact with the workpiece, this will shorten the life of the
disc, causing damage to the workpiece.
Note: Be prepared for a lot of sparks when the disc touches the metal.
4. Maintenance
WARNING
It is recommended that all repairs or replacements be carried out by a qualified technical service.
WARNING
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, the tool must be disconnected from the power source. The most effective
cleaning method may be blowing with dry compressed air. Always wear protective glasses when cleaning the machine with
compressed air.
Before each use, inspect the grinder, switch, and cord for damage. Check for damaged, missing, or worn parts. Check for
missing screws, misalignment or loose moving parts, or any other condition that may affect operation.
If abnormal vibration or abnormal noise occurs, turn off the machine immediately and resolve this problem before using it
again.
Carbon brushes
The brushes and collectors of the tool should be examined frequently. Its good contact makes the tool energetic. When the
spark around the collector gets bigger, the carbon brushes should be changed.
