Electrical connection

Caution!
• The cooling unit must be connected to the mains by means of a
separating device which provides an open contact with a dis-
tance of at least 3 mm when switched off.
• No temperature control mechanism may be connected in series
in front of the cooling unit on the power feed side.
• The fuse specified on the type plate must be serially connected
in front of the unit as line protection.
• Electrical connections and any repairs may only be carried out
by authorised technical staff.
Supply connection (mains):
Mains voltage and mains frequency must correspond to the ratings
specified on the type plate of the cooling unit.
• No special requirements apply to the manner in which the
connection cable is routed.

8. Cooling water connection

Use pressure-resistant (>10bar), elastic hoses for the cooling
water connection and secure them with clamps.
Observe the flow direction (notices on the unit)
Check the seal
Protect the water circuit from dirt and excessive pressure.
(refer also to the maximum permissible operating pressure of 10
bar in the section "Water quality notes")
9. Condensate
 Care must always be taken to ensure that the condensate be
able to drain off properly (safety drain).
 A hose must be attached to the pipe end protruding from the unit
to drain accumulating condensate water.
 Secure the hose with clamps.
 In order to ensure safe drainage of the condensate, the following
must be observed:
 Route the drain hose free of kinks
 Do not reduce the hose cross-section.
 Only route the drain hose with a decline.
Caution: Danger of slipping on spilled condensate water.
In order to collect any accumulating condensate water, a collection
bottle is available as an accessory (see the supplement for the
article no.).
 For prevention of excessive accumulation of condensate
 Adjust the cooling water temperature to the necessary cooling
capacity
 Only install the unit on sealed switch cabinets and housings
 Only adjust the setpoint temperature as low as necessary
(avoid undercutting the dew point
10. Cooling and regulation
 The fan operated continuously (door contact closed/ bridged).
 The solenoid valve controls the cooling water flow correspond-
ing to the adjusted switch cabinet setpoint temperature.
 The setpoint of the internal temperature of the switch cabinet is
adjusted at the thermostat.
Factory setting:
35°C / 95°F
Adjustment range:
min. 8°C / 46.4°F - max. 50°C / 122°F

11. Temperature monitoring (Alarm)
 If the internal temperature of the switch cabinet deviates from
the setpoint (factory setting 35°C / 95°F) by more than 10K,
the potential-free contact switches. (factory setting as NC
contact)
 The contact is connected to the connection terminal strip (X1
PIN 4, 5, 6).
 See the connection diagram in the technical supplement and
on the unit
12. Maintenance
 Pfannenberg air/water heat exchangers are maintenance-
free.
 If the cooling water is dirty, a filter must be used.
For this purpose, also refer to the section "Water quality
notes".
 Check the function of the condensate drainage device regu-
larly.
