Controlling the belt
NEVER try to control the belt at running
engine. This leads to serious injuries on
your hand.
Remove the safety cover. It is fixed on
the ZI-RPE60 with two six-head screws
and on the ZI-RPE90 with four six-head
screw.
The belt tension is right when you can
push it in the middle 10-15 mm in.
After controlling you must mount the
safety cover again.
A loose belt reduces the power. This
leads to a less powerful tamping and it
can also cause early deterioration of the
belt.
When the belt is battered you must
change it immediately.
2.5.5
Changing the belt
Remove the safety cover.
Loosen the belt by loosening the screw
with which the engine block is fixed on
the plate. Now you can slide the engine
block in the grooves and so you can
loosen the belt.
Let a wrench latch into the screw of the
belt (below). Turn the wrench anti-
clockwise so that the belt becomes unfas-
tened.
Let the belt latch in the lower vibration
belt and move it to the left side of the
upper clutch. Turn the wrench so that the
belt gets placed back.
2.5.6
Tensioning the belt
Tension the belt by sliding the engine
block on the plate. For this you can use a
six-head adjusting screw which is front-
wards on the side of the engine block.
The tension is correct when the distance
between your fingers is 10 to 15 mm
when you push the belt in the middle to-
gether.
2.5.7
Controlling the clutch
You have to control the clutch at the same
time when you control the belt. When the
belt is removed you must control the outer
barrel. Clean the V-groove, if necessary.
When the shoe is battered, the power trans-
mission will be bad and the belt will slip.
2.5.8
Transport
For the transport of short ways you can use
the wheels of the machine. For long ways
you have to pack the handle and the safety
rack separately to safe place. Then you have
to place it on a transport vehicle where you
also have to fix the machine.
2.5.9
Refuelling
The machine is run by unleaded petrol.
Ensure yourself that no particles get into
the fuel tank when refuelling, so always
use a filter.
Use unleaded petrol because it is better for
the environment than leaded ones.
2.5.10 Cleaning
Clean the machine from dust, etc ...
Clean the machine housing with a wet cloth
and a mild cleaning solution.
