INTRODUCTION
The multifunctional Palmer AHMCTXLV2 cable tester can be used to test a wide range of
different cables, plugs and raw cables.
In order to carry out a test, connect the cable in question to the relevant tester sockets.
The following test options are available:
- 3.5 mm jack (TRS)
- 6.35 mm jack (TRS)
- RCA
- XLR 3-pin
- XLR 5-pin
- Speakon 4-pin
- Speakon 8-pin
- USB-A to USB-B
- S-Video
- RJ45 (CAT)
- MIDI
- Banana
Using the measuring cables included it is also possible to carry out a quick, efficient continuity
check on individual wires.
SET-UP

INSERTING THE BATTERY

Turn the device over and open the battery compartment by removing the two finger screws.
Insert two AA batteries taking care to ensure the correct polarity as indicated. Now close the
battery compartment again.
Remove the batteries if the device is not going be used for some time.
CHECKING BATTERY CAPACITY
Set the slider switch to the ON position. The first red LED in the LED chain lights up. If this
LED shines brightly, the batteries are OK. If the LED light only shines faintly, the batteries are
nearly flat and should be replaced as soon as possible.
