1 Important safety and environmental instructions
This section includes safety in-
structions that will help ensure the
protection from risks of personal
injuries or materialistic damages.
Failure to follow these instruc-
tions shall void the warranty.
1.1 General safety
Installation and Maintenance

must be carried out by Grundig
Authorized Service.
Use only original parts or parts
•
recommended by the manufac-
turer.
Clean all parts before using the
•
device for the first time. Please
refer to the details in the "Clean-
ing and Maintenance" section.
Heaters damaged because of
•
calcification and operation with-
out water are not covered by the
warranty.
Safety valve should never be
•
dismantled, blocked (safety
valve discharge pipe should be
always kept open and never be
closed), installation should be
carried out by authorized service
personnel.

Safety valve settings have been
•
made by the manufacturer.
Never remove the safety valve
from the device and do not
change its setting.
Water will flow from the safety
•
valve for safety purposes at
high water pressures, this is not
a failure, but is required by the
safety standard.
Never change the safety valve
•
supplied with your device.
Safety valve should be protected
•
against calcification. The manu-
facturer cannot be held respon-
sible for any malfunctions or
accidents caused by calcifica-
tion. It is recommended to have
your device and equipment ser-
viced every year.
The safety valve discharge pipe
•
should be always kept open and
should never be closed.
