presence of bromine, bromides, chlorine dioxide, copper ions, iodine, manganese
ions, chromium ions, monochloramines, ozone and peroxides.
pH analysis
After performing the Zeroing:
13) Open the instrument lid and remove the cuvette of the measurement
compartment;
14) Remove the cuvette lid with the sample used in the zeroing;
15) Add 5 phenol red pH reagent drops in the sample, holding the reagent bottle in
vertical position during the drops addition;
16) Close the cuvette with its lid, observing the correct fit to avoid leaks in the
instrument;
17) Gently shake the cuvette to homogenize the sample;
18) Clean and dry the outer wall of the cuvette by using a cleaning wipe or a soft
paper towel;
19) Insert the cuvette in Cloro-pH Max's measurement compartment, aligning the
arrow on the cuvette with the alignment mark located on the instrument's
measurement compartment;
20) Close the instrument's measurement lid to avoid reading interferences;
21) With the instrument on a table or in a horizontal position, press briefly the
button. Will appear on the display Analyzing...
22) View on the display the pH sample's measurement value;
23) To save in the instrument the reading value, press the
GENERAL NOTES:
 After chlorine and pH measurements, always discard the analyzed samples
and wash the cuvette with distilled (or deionized) water, avoiding accumulation
of residues in the cuvette.
 Be very careful when handling the cuvettes! Scratches, stains and marks may
compromise measurements values.
 Prevent liquids from entering the measurement compartment, because this
can cause irreversible damage to the circuit.
ADJUST
Cloro-pH Max can be adjusted in 6 points of chlorine and 5 of pH, respecting the
following sequence:
