Set the device on a level, sturdy surface

so the controls can be easily reached and
adjusted.
Screw the hydrophobic filter in to regulator

inlet port.

Connect 14 inch tubing to the barbed fitting
leading from the hydrophobic filter, to the
elbow fitting on top of the collection jar lid.
Connect the 6 foot patient tubing to the lid

suction port.

Be sure that the power switch is in

the off (O) position. Plug in the device
and turn the switch to the
ON (
) position.
Block the patient tube leading from

the collection jar and allow the gauge
to reach a stable vacuum level.
Set the vacuum level by turning the

regulator knob clockwise to increase
vacuum or counter-clockwise to
decrease vacuum.
Your physician will have prescribed

the use of a special vacuum tool
to aid suction. Push this tool onto
the 6 foot long patient tubing as
instructed by your qualified health
care professional.
NOTE: This procedure should be performed each time you use this device.
