Operating Instructions
(see figure C)
The safety warnings in the Section "For
Your Safety" are to be strictly observed.
Unreeling
Pull out the cable to the desired length and allow it to
reel up a little in order to lock. If the reel does not
engage, pull cable out again somewhat, and allow it
to lock again. When the cable is completely unreeled,
do not continue to pull. Caution! Danger of tear-
ing off the cable!
Malfunction
The cable does not reel up
completely.
The cable cannot be locked
in the desired position.
The connected
machine/device does not
start or suddenly switches off
and cannot be restarted.
Troubleshooting
Cause
Cable possibly soiled/dirty.
Cable safety reel not disengaged.
Cable safety reel cannot swivel freely in
wall mount.
Reel-up spring possibly broken.
Latching lever possibly broken.
Check if the cable safety reel is con-
nected to the mains supply.
Reeling up
To loosen the lock after use (1), pull cable out some-
what until the clicking noise of the locking mechanism
is no longer heard.
Release the cable (2). The cable is slowly pulled back
into the housing.
Braked pulling-in: The new safety rewinder for
cables has a robust brake for the cable reel and a high
spring force. This ensures slow and even pulling-in,
resulting in a safe working environment.
Corrective Action
Wipe the cable off with a clean cloth and
some water or other solvent-free liquid.
Pull cable out and let it reel up to the stop-
ball.
Check the wall/ceiling installation and
make sure there is sufficient space for the
cable to move.
Have hose reel checked by a Würth
after-sales service agent.
Have hose reel checked by a Würth
after-sales service agent.
Check if all circuit breakers are intact. If
the circuit breaker is intact, it is probably
the heat-sensitive overload protection
that has switched off the power supply to
the cable drum. Make sure that the con-
nected machine/device does not over-
load the cable reel. Before switching on
the power supply again, all connected
devices must be disconnected from the
cable safety reel. When the cable safety
reel has cooled down after about five
minutes, you can press reset button 4.
