8.3 Starting and stopping
8.3.1 Starting
The product is fitted with a lock-off button feature. To start the product, simply depress the
lock-off button (2) then fully press and hold the start/stop lever (1). The lock-off button can now
be released (see Fig. 10).
NOTE: It is not necessary to maintain pressure on the lock-off button once
the start/stop lever is squeezed and the motor is running. The lock-off button
is a safety device to avoid accidental start-up of the device.
8.3.2 Stopping
The product will automatically stop once the start/stop level is released. The lock-off button will
have to be depressed and the start/stop lever squeezed to restart the product motor.
NOTE: The overload protection will be activated in the following
circumstances:
1) A build-up of scarified material around the cutting and raking device.
2) The
3) There is too much resistance against the cutting and raking device.
When the circuit breaker has been activated, switch off the product and disconnect it
from the power supply. Let the product cool down before using the product again.
9 SCARIFYING / AERATING

remove all objects that may be flung out by the product.
