Troubleshooting
A qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.
Fault
The appliance is not working
Appliance is noisy or works intermittently
Compressor runs but no ice is made
Water low light is On
Ice Full light is On
Fault light is On
When unit on, fault light
flashes once every 6s
When unit on, fault light is
On but "RUN" light Off

Probable Cause
The unit is not switched on Check the unit is plugged in correctly
Plug or lead is damaged
Fuse in the plug has blown Replace the fuse
Mains power supply fault
Ambient temperature
below 10°C
Water supply fault
Power fluctuations
Refrigerant leak or block in
the refrigerant system
Water not connected
Water filter is blocked
Water pressure too low
Ice bin full
Room temperature is too
low
Water box is blocked and
cannot tilt
Or, Motor system fault
Ice sensor fault, cannot
make ice
Ambient temperature
sensor fault, cannot make
ice
Water temperature sensor
fault, cannot make ice
Solution
and switched on
Replace plug or lead
Check mains power supply
Move appliance to a warmer position
Check water supply is on and supply
hoses are not blocked
Turn off the ice maker and restart
after 3 minutes
Call POLAR agent or qualified
technician
Connect ice maker to water supply
Clean water filter and restart ice
maker
Water pressure should be between
100kPa - 400kPa (14.5-58psi).
Call plumber to check water supply
Empty the ice bin
Move the appliance to a warmer
position
Disconnect from the power supply.
Remove some of the ice cubes and
gently tilt the water box. Restart the
ice maker after 3 minutes
If problem still persists, Call POLAR
agent or qualified Technician
Check if ice sensor is connected
properly. If normal, call POLAR agent
or qualified technician
Check if ambient temperature sensor
is connected properly. If normal, call
POLAR agent or qualified technician
Check if water temperature sensor
is connected properly. If normal, call
POLAR agent or qualified technician
