OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
CENTRIFUGAL ELECTRIC PUMP CH SERIES
1. ELECTRIC SURFACE PUMPS INSTALLATION AND USE
1.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The equipment should only be used after having read and understood the instructions
provided in the following document.
• The equipment can be used by children over the age of 8 and by persons with redu-
ced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who lack experience and knowledge
as long as they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the equipment
safely and understand the potential hazards involved.
• Children must not be allowed to play with the equipment.
• The machine must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
• Cleaning and maintenance of the machine must only be carried out by adults and
only after the machine has been disconnected from the electrical power supply.
• The machine must be powered by an electrical power supply that is protected by a
differential current circuit breaker that has a tripping current of less than 30 mA.
• If liquids hotter than 80°C are being pumped, be careful of the pump body as you
could be burnt if it comes into contact with parts of the body. Place a high temperatu-
re warning sign and prohibit unauthorised access to the pump area.
• Do not use the equipment if there are people swimming in the swimming pool or the
body of water.
• The manufacturer reserves the right to make any changes it considers appropriate to

2.
DESCRIPTION
The assembly referred to in this manual consists of a pumping unit complete with an
air-cooled surface motor.
3.
INTENDED USE
CH electrical surface pumps have been designed for pumping clean water and group II
liquids (non-hazardous and non-chemically and mechanically aggressive liquids).
The temperature, density and viscosity of the liquid to be pumped, as well as the
altitude of the place of installation can affect the performance of the pump. The table
below shows the recommended temperatures of the liquid to be pumped in relation to
the pump materials.
