The signal is very weak or no connection can be established
to the mobile phone transmitter or the signal fluctuates.
Troubleshooting
Please make sure that the connectors are free from dust and moisture.
Check the cables for kinks and cracks.
The connection cable between router and antennas must be as short as
possible. The thinner and more elastic a coaxial cable is, the more signal
loss. CoFlex coaxial cables from Halo&Son are tested quality cables for
use in combination with the antenna set.
Make sure that the antennas are aligned correctly. To do this, carry
out a series of measurements in several directions. The antennas can be
moved horizontally and vertically. Both antennas must be directed in the
same direction.
Check that the small holes on the antennas are pointing to the bottom.
These are required to drain off condensation water.
Check that all screws/nuts are properly tightened. The antenna clamp
(1. & 2.) can bend due to high wind forces. This prevents damage to the
actual antenna.
Check that the cables are attached to the correct LTE/4G/3G connectors.
With some routers it is necessary to switch between the internal and ex-
ternal antenna. To do this, log into the user interface of your device and
switch the reception to the external antennas. You will find more detailed
information in the user manual of your router / modem device.
In rare cases it happens that there is no possibility at all to receive a
useful signal. In these situations a change of provider must be consid-
ered. Most mobile phone providers offer a free trial period for rates and
devices.
