MAINTENANCE
Replacing bulb (Fig. 6)
CAUTION:
• The bulb is very hot immediately after operation. Wait
until the bulb cools off before attempting to replace it.
Use only a Makita genuine bulb.
• Always remove the battery cartridge from the battery
holder before replacing the bulb or attempting to per-
form inspection or maintenance.

These accessories or attachments are recommended for use with your Makita machine specified in this manual. The
use of any other accessories or attachments might present a risk of injury to persons. The accessories or attachments
should be used only in the proper and intended manner.
• Set plate
Install the set plate on the battery holder when using battery cartridges listed in the table below.

NOTE:
If you use a power checking battery 9100A, 9101A, 9102A, 1200A, 1201A or 1202A on this utility light, the power
checking battery will not indicate the remaining battery capacity properly.

Turn the front case counterclockwise and remove it. Then
replace the bulb.
When storing a spare bulb in the head light, push it firmly
into the bulb holder until it comes in contact with the bot-
tom of the bulb holder. Then close the front case. (Fig. 7)
To maintain product safety and reliability, repairs, mainte-
nance or adjustment should be carried out by Makita
Authorized Service Center.
