Continuity test
Turn the knob switch (6) to the
component to be tested. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (11).
If the resistance is <30Ω, an acoustic signal will be emitted continuously and the orange LED indicator (4) will light up.
Diode test
Turn the knob switch (6) to the
side and the red test probe to the anode side of the diode to be measured. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (11).
If the polarity of the test probes is reverse to the diode polarity, the OL (Overload) will appear on the screen. This can be used for
distinguishing the anode and cathode side of a diode.
Capacitance measurement
Turn the knob switch (6) to the
measured. The measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (11).
Temperature measurement
Turn the knob switch (6) to the °C/°F position. Press (7) to switch between °C/°F. Plug the black test lead of the K-type thermocouple
into the COM jack (12) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (13). Connect the thermocouple probe to the object to be measured. The
measurement results will appear on the LCD screen (11).
Non-contact voltage detection (NCV)
Turn the knob switch (6) to the NCV/LIVE position. Press (7) until NCV (Non-contact voltage detection) appears on the screen. Slowly bring
the NCV probe (1) close to the point to be detected. When the signal of a weak electromagnetic field is detected, the "– – – L" will appear
on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce a slow beep sound, and the LED indicator (4) will glow green. When the signal of a strong
electromagnetic field is detected, the "– – – H" will appear on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce a quick beep sound, and the LED
indicator (4) will glow red.
When using this function, remove the test leads from the jacks.
Live detection
Turn the knob switch (6) to the NCV/LIVE position. Press (7) until LIVE (Live detection) appears on the screen. Plug only the red test lead
into the INPUT jack (13). Connect the red test probe to the conductor to be measured. When the signal of a weak electromagnetic field is
detected, the "– – – L" will appear on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce a slow beep sound, and the LED indicator (4) will glow
green. When the signal of a strong electromagnetic field is detected, the "– – – H" will appear on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce
a quick beep sound, and the LED indicator (4) will glow red.
When using this function, remove the test leads from the jacks.
