Figure 3 Shows the main dimensions and part numbers of the ready to use filter kits with ProValve.
When using the complete filter and valve assembly , you will not need the adapter (item D in figure 2) . Make
sure however to use the 2 special 60.5mm fittings (on position F) included with the valve.
It is recommended to include manual valves in your installation enabling closing and bypass of the filter as
illustrated in figure 4. In this illustration B is the output from the pump, C is the pool return. For winterizing,
make sure to evacuate all water from the ProValve.
It is possible to rotate in 90° increments the pump (B) and waste (A) connection on the valve if required in a
specific installation environment. This can be achieved after disassembling the 4 steel tie-rods. Rotate the ports
with caution. See figure 5.
Assembly of the ProValve can also be done away from the filter when preferred in a specific installation (figure
6). In any case it is recommended to provide adequate support to the pipes into the valve and filter to provide
sufficient support for the valve.
PILOT VALVE INSTALLATION
The ProValve is actuated by air pressure. When activating the 230V pilot Valve included with the ProValve, the
pilot valve allows for the main cylinder in the valve to move down from filter to backwash position. The pilot
valve is connected to your control system. Not activated the double action pilot valve will apply pressure to
move the cylinder back into the filtration position.
Make sure to disconnect the compressor and electric power supply to the ProValve before changing the
pilot valve.
The new pilot valve has to be mounted against a wall using the supplied mounting bracket.
Connect the new valve as shown in the illustration.
We advise 2.2bar minimum operating pressure for the ProValve
