Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions
and information completely. Please keep these
instructions in a safe place for future reference. If
you sell the device, please pass these operating
instructions on to the new owner.
1. Package Contents

• Do not connect units in series
• Do not cover when in use
• There is voltage running through the socket unless
it is unplugged
• Only switch on and use with the safety covers
closed
• Do not use the radio-controlled socket if there is
visible damage to the housing
• Repair work may only be performed by qualified
experts or a specialist retailer
• The radio-controlled socket meets the requirements
for the IP 44 rating, meaning it is splash-proof
and is suitable for outdoor use. Water jets should
not be aimed at the product (e.g. a garden hose
or other irrigation systems)! Operate the product
either indoors or in protected outdoor areas (e.g.
below eaves/roof overhang, in a garage, etc.).
Protect the product from rain. Otherwise there is a
risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never connect the radio-controlled socket to an
extension cable or adapter. It must be plugged
directly into a mains socket. Connecting the timer
in any other way may cause it to overheat.
• Use the timer switch only in permanent wall
sockets.
• Do not operate the product outside the power
limits given in the specifications.
• Disconnect from the mains before cleaning the
device.
• Do not use this product with any devices that are
motorised or any devices that have a rotating
component or workpiece. There is a risk of injury.

3. Connecting and getting started
Note
On extending Hama radio-controlled socket
sets. It cannot be guaranteed that radio remote
controls of other manufacturers will work.
Plug the radio-controlled socket into an outdoor
earthed socket.
To test the radio-controlled socket and for manual
use without a remote control, press the "On/Off"
button. When the button is pressed, the LED of the
radio-controlled socket should light up. When you
press the button again, the LED should go out.
Next plug the IP44 mains plug of the electrical
device you wish to connect into the earthed socket
of the timer.
The product may only be used indoors or in protected
outdoor areas (e.g. below eaves/roof overhang, in a
garage, etc.).
4. Learn function of the radio-controlled socket
Press and hold the "LEARN" button for approx.
3 seconds until the LED starts to flash. Then select
the desired channel by pressing the corresponding
"ON" button.
The LED on the radio-controlled will stop blinking
when it has successfully learnt the frequency.
If the learning is unsuccessful, the remote control
socket will leave learn mode after 15 seconds. In this
case, repeat the process. It is also possible to assign
a channel multiple times (multiple radio-controlled
sockets can respond to the same remote control
button).
If you wish to delete a programmed channel, first
press the "LEARN" button until the LED flashes.
Press the "OFF" button for the channel to remove its
programming.
