2. Safety Notes
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use
only.
• The product is intended for indoor use only.
• Use the product for its intended purpose only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating
and use it in dry rooms only.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the device.
• Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic
devices is not permitted.
• Connect the product only to a socket that has been
approved for the device. The electrical socket must always
be easily accessible.
• Disconnect the product from the network using the power
button – if this is not available, unplug the power cord
from the socket.
• Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard.
• Do not bend or crush the cable.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately according to
locally applicable regulations.
• Do not modify the device in any way. Doing so voids the
warranty.
3. Startup and operation:
The IR remote control extension enables you to operate up to
two AV devices (for example, DVD/Blu-ray player, receiver, CD
player) in closed cabinets. .
• Plug the USB connector into the supplied power supply unit
or into the USB socket on a flat-screen TV/monitor.
• Position the IR receiver (2) within range of your remote
control and in plain sight, or below the cabinet that
contains your A/V devices.
• Now lay the cable with the two IR transmitters such that
the IR transmitters are located at the front of your A/V de-
vices and near to the built-in receiver. Use the sticky pad to
attach the IR transmitters on the IR eye of the A/V devices.

Note
• First test the correct position before sticking the IR
transmitters onto the IR eye.
• If you want to use only one A/V device, leave the
second IR transmitter unused. Never remove it from
the cable.
4. Care and Maintenance
• Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth
and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
• Make sure that water does not get into the product.
