5) OPERATION

A. Power On and Off
Press the button to turn on and off the thermometer. In MAX/MIN
recording mode the thermometer can not be turned off. Exit the MAX/
MIN recording mode and then turn the thermometer off.
Without the thermocouple connected to the proper input, the display
shows OL (over range).
Press power key for more than 4 seconds during the initialization
to disable the auto-power function. The display will show "APO OFF".
B. Selecting the Temperature Unit °C/°F
The readings are displayed in either degrees Celsius (°C) or degrees
Fahrenheit (°F). When the thermometer is turned on, it is set to the
temperature scale that was in use when the thermo hygrometer
was last turned off. To change the temperature scale, press the
°C/°F button.
C. Display Backlight
Press the button to turn on and off the display backlight. The
backlight turns off automatically after around 30 seconds to save
the batteries.
D. Relative Mode (REL)
Press the REL button to enter in relative mode, zeroing the display,
and the previous reading is stored as reference value and the REL
indicator is displayed. Press REL key over 2 seconds to exit the
relative mode.
