WARNING
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure
electricity is turned off at the main fuse box
before assembling and wiring.
1. Securely attach the hanger bracket to the
ceiling joist using the lag bolts, flat washers and
lock washers supplied.
2. Pre-install two canopy screws on the opposite
sides of the hanger bracket. (Do not tighten)
3. Remove the hanger ball by loosening the setscrew
in the hanger ball until the ball falls freely down the
down rod.
4. Remove the pin from the down rod, and retain it for
re-installation.
5. Remove the clevis pin and hairpin clip from the
down rod.
6. Install the decorating down rod, the canopy ring and
canopy through the down rod.
7. Route the fan wires through the down rod.
8. Re-install the pin from hanger ball.
9. Fix the down rod to the down rod support and
re-install the clevis pin and hairpin clip.
10. Tighten the setscrews on the down rod support.
It is critical that the clevis pin in the down rod support
is properly installed and the setscrews are securely
tightened. Failure to verify the clevis screw, hairpin clip
and setscrews are properly installed could result in the
fan falling.
