6 Carefully replace the spark plug, begin screwing it with your hand to avoid
damaging the threads. Once the spark plug is threaded to the end of the thread,
make the final tightening:
New plugs 1/2 turn using the spark plug spanner.
Used spark plugs 1/8 to 1/ 4 turn using the spark plug spanner.
7 Reinstall the spark plug pipette or cap and close the access cap by fastening
with its screw.
NOTE: The spark plug must be tightened firmly. A loose spark plug may
overheat and even damage the engine. Similarly, overtightening may damage
the spark plug and, worse, the engine cylinder head thread.
8.4 Spark shield maintenance.
The spark arrester should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
CAUTION: Perform this service once the engine and exhaust are
completely cold.

Remove the 4 screws and take off the silencer cover.

2 Disassemble the spark arrester of the exhaust and discard the carbon
deposits from the spark arrester with a brush. If the spark arrester is too worn
out, replace it.
3 Install the spark arrester
again.
