Parental control
setting

Press SETUP in the stop mode.
Press • or _ to select
option.
Then press •
or ENTER.

once to select "Parental Off", then press
ENTER until the level you desire appears (e.g.: 1).
3 Press •
once to se ect "Password _..P"
Then press Number keys to input a 4-digit password
(e.g.: 1234).
• tf you input a wrong number, press CANCEL.
• Be sure to remember this number!
Level Off
: The parental control setting does not
function.
Level 1
: DVD software for adults cannot be
played back.
Level 8
: All DVD software can be played back.
Select from tevet 1 to level 8.
On a scale of 1-8, "1" is the most restrictive.
4 Press ENTER.

If the input password was dght,
will appear.
You can move to "Parental 1"(e.g.) to input the desired
level or to cancel parental control.
NOTES:
• If each setup (pages 23, 28 ~ 30) has been completed,
the unit can always
be worked
under the same
conditions
{especially
with DVD discs}.
Each setup will be retained
in the memory
if you turn
the power off.
• Depending on the discs, the unit cannot limit playback.
• Some discs may not be encoded with specific rating tevet
information though its disc jacket says 'adult". For those
discs, the age restriction will not work.
• Do not forget the password. If you forget the password,
contact customer service.
Temporary
disabling
of rating

Depending
on the DVD disc, the disc may try to
temporarily
cance_ the rating Bevel that you have set,
It is up to you to decide whether to canee_ the rating
_eve_or not.

Load a DVD disc and p_ess PLAY or OPEN/CLOSE

page 24).

which follows the
"Reading" screen witt

which disc is played, tf
you select "YES" with
ENTER key, 'Your disc exceeds the parental control level

tf you wish to cancet the set rating tevet temporarily,
select "Parental Control Level" with •

then
press ENTER. if the 4-digits password at step 3 on teft
column has been set, the password entering screen wilt
appear as shown in step 4 below.
Alternatively, if the password has not been set, playback
witt commence.
If you don't know (or have forgotten) the
password, select 'Cancet
Picture".
The setting screen will disappear. Press OPENICLOSE
to remove the disc.
Enter the password
with Number keys.
Then press ENTER.
tf you interrupt the
entering, press
RETURN.

5 Playback will commence if the entered password was
correct.
NOTE:
This temporary cancellation of rating tevet witt be kept until
the disc is ejected.
When the disc is ejected, the original rating level wilt be set
again automatically.
