Nebula 8S
AMP
Block diagrams description
The programmable amplifiers Nebula have a first stage amplifier in each terrestrial input. This stage can be
enabled or disabled through the SW adjustment AMP.
The UHF stage has several filters with programmable bandwidth between 1 and 6 channels of 8MHz bandwidth by
channel.
The programmable amplifier has a gain adjustment for each band. Each UHF filter has its own gain adjustment
independent of the other filters. The Nebula 8S has also a global gain adjustment for all UHF filters.
Each UHF input can feed 0/12/24Vdc voltages with maximum current 80mA to supply preamplifiers.
Nebula 8S has additionally an input for Satellite IF frequencies that allows to feed a universal LNB and amplify the
received satellite signal. Next to the satellite gain adjustment there is a programmable equalisation option that
helps to compensate the differences between the losses produced in high and low frequencies of satellite in case
of long distances of cable.
Nebula 6 has one amplified terrestrial signal output and one test output -20 dB.
Nebula 8S has 3 outputs: One output for the amplified terrestrial – satellite mixed signals, a second output for
amplified terrestrial signal and one test output -30dB.
Both programmable amplifiers have an automatic level adjustment and automatic gain control.
