Die
Speakon-Lautsprecheranschlüsse
PowerCon-Netzanschlüsse sind farblich gekenn-
zeichnet und mechanisch kodiert, so daß ein Vertau-
schen verhindert wird:
Lautsprecherausgang = schwarz
230-V-Netzausgang
= grau
230-V-Netzeingang
= blau
Die Speakon- und die PowerCon-Stecker in die ent-
sprechenden Buchsen stecken und nach rechts dre-
hen, bis sie einrasten. Zum späteren Herausziehen
den Sicherungsriegel am Stecker nach hinten schie-
ben, und den Stecker nach links drehen.
5.1 Basismodul DJC-3TOP in Verbindung mit
einem Subwoofermodul
Die Anschlüsse des Basismoduls DJC-3TOP zu dem
Subwoofermodul DJC-300SUB oder DJC-600SUB
und zu den Satelliten-Lautsprecherboxen DJC-2SAT
sind in der Abb. 3 auf der Seite 4 dargestellt. Außer-
dem sind die Anschlußmöglichkeiten weiterer Audio-
geräte angegeben. Die Cinch-Buchsen LINE IN 3
und 4 sowie die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchsen MIC 3 und 4
am DJC-3TOP sind intern nicht angeschlossen und
können ggf. nach eigenem Bedarf belegt werden.
Dem Basismodul und dem Subwoofermodul ist je
ein Netzanschlußkabel beigelegt. Darum ist bei die-
ser Kombination ein Anschlußkabel übrig.
5.2 Basismodul DJC-3TOP in Verbindung mit
dem Verstärkermodul DJC-1BASE
Werden vier Lautsprecher zur Beschallung benötigt,
kann das Basismodul mit dem Verstärkermodul DJC-
1BASE kombiniert werden. Die Verbindung beider
Module ist in Abb. 4 auf der Seite 5 dargestellt. Außer-
dem sind die Anschlußmöglichkeiten weiterer Audio-
geräte angegeben. An die Buchsen SPEAKERS des
Basismoduls und des Verstärkermoduls die vier Voll-
bereichslautsprecher anschließen. Die Cinch-Buch-
sen LINE IN 3 und 4 sowie die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuch-

Installation
1) Mount the basic module correctly onto a matching
base and securely connect it with the butterfly
locks (a) - fig. 1 on page 3.
2) If the flight case DJC-30 is used, it can be sepa-
rated into two parts which then may be mounted
as side parts (fig. 2 on page 3).

Connecting Procedure
Always start with the signal connections at first and
then proceed with the connection to the 230 V mains
supply!
The following connection cables are supplied with the
basic module DJC-3TOP:
2 x 10 m speaker cable with Speakon plugs
2 x XLR signal cable for the connections to the base
1 x mains cable for the connection between the
basic module and the base
1 x mains connection cable
The

connections
PowerCon mains connections are colour-coded and
are mechanically matched to the jacks so that inter-
changing is prevented:
Speaker output
= black
230 V mains output = grey
230 V mains input = blue
Insert the Speakon plugs and the PowerCon plugs
into the corresponding jacks and turn them to the right
until they latch. To disconnect them at a later time,
slide the safety lock at the plug backwards and turn
the plug to the left.
5.1 Basic module DJC-3TOP in connection
with a subwoofer module
The connections of the basic module DJC-3TOP to
the subwoofer module DJC-300SUB or DJC-600SUB
and to the satellite speaker systems DJC-2SAT are
shown in fig. 3 on page 4. Furthermore, the connec-
tion facilities of additional audio units are stated. The
phono jacks LINE IN 3 and 4 as well as the 6.3 mm

5.3 Basismodul DJC-3TOP ohne zusätzliche
Module
Die Anschlüsse sind in Abb. 5 auf der Seite 6 darge-
stellt. An die Buchsen SPEAKERS zwei Vollbereichs-
lautsprecher anschließen. Die beiden XLR-Buchsen
SIGNAL OUT und IN mit einem XLR-Signalkabel
verbinden, damit der Mischpultausgang an den Ver-
stärkereingang angeschlossen ist.
Die Cinch-Buchsen LINE IN 3 und 4 sowie die
6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchsen MIC 3 und 4 am DJC-3TOP
sind intern nicht angeschlossen und können ggf.
nach eigenem Bedarf belegt werden. Das Netzver-
bindungskabel (mit zwei PowerCon-Steckern) und
ein XLR-Signalkabel sind übrig.
5.4 Einschleifen von Zusatzgeräten
In den Signalweg vom Mischpult zum Verstärker las-
sen sich Zusatzgeräte (z. B. Equalizer, Effektgerät)
einschleifen. Die Buchse SIGNAL OUT am Basismo-
dul DJC-3TOP mit dem Eingang des Zusatzgerätes
verbinden. Den Ausgang des Zusatzgerätes an die
Buchse SIGNAL IN des Unterteils anschließen bzw.
wenn kein Unterteil verwendet wird an die Buchse
SIGNAL IN vom DJC-3TOP.
Die Kontaktbelegung der XLR-Buchsen ist nicht
für symmetrische Mono-Signale ausgelegt, sondern
für asymmetrische Stereo-Signale. Eventuell sind
entsprechende Adapter
Zusatzgerätes erforderlich.

5.2 Basic module DJC-3TOP in connection
with the amplifier module DJC-1BASE
If four speakers are to be used for the PA require-
ment, the basic module can be combined with the
amplifier module DJC-1BASE. The connection of
both modules is shown in fig. 4 on page 5. Further-
more, the connection facilities of additional audio
units are stated. Connect the four full range speakers
to the SPEAKERS jacks of the basic module and the
amplifier module. The phono jacks LINE IN 3 and 4
as well as the 6.3 mm jacks MIC 3 and 4 at DJC-
3TOP are not connected internally and if necessary
they can be wired as desired.

5.3 Basic module DJC-3TOP without addi-
tional modules
The connections are shown in fig. 5 on page 6.
Connect two full range speakers to the SPEAKERS
jacks. Connect both XLR jacks SIGNAL OUT and IN
with a XLR signal cable so that the mixer output is
connected to the amplifier input.
The phono jacks LINE IN 3 and 4 as well as the
6.3 mm jacks MIC 3 and 4 at DJC-3TOP are not
connected internally and if necessary they can be
wired as desired. The mains connection cable (with
the two PowerCon plugs) and a XLR signal cable
remain unused.

Bedienung
6.1 Ein- und Ausschalten
Um laute Schaltgeräusche zu vermeiden, vor dem
Einschalten der Anlage die Lautstärkeregler des/der
Verstärker/s auf Null drehen und den/die Verstärker
zuletzt einschalten. Beim Ausschalten der Anlage
den/die Verstärker zuerst ausschalten. Auch wenn
alle Geräte ausgeschaltet sind, verbraucht der inter-
ne Lüfter im DJC-3TOP und DJC-1BASE einen gerin-
gen Strom, bis die Anlage von der 230-V-Stromver-
sorgung getrennt wird.
Der Verstärker des Subwoofermoduls arbeitet im
Brückenbetrieb. Die Lautstärke wird deshalb nur mit
dem linken Lautstärkeregler eingestellt. Der rechte
Regler bleibt auf Null.

5.4 Inserting additional units
Additional units (e. g. equalizer, effect unit) can be
inserted into the signal way from the mixer to the
amplifier. Connect the SIGNAL OUT jack at the basic
module DJC-3TOP with the input of the additional
unit. Connect the output of the additional unit to the
SIGNAL IN jack of the base resp. to the SIGNAL IN
jack of DJC-3TOP if no base is used.
The pin connection of the XLR jacks is not de-
signed for balanced mono signals, but for unbalanced
stereo signals. Corresponding adaptors for inserting
the additional unit may be necessary.
6
Operation
6.1 Switching on and off
To avoid loud switching noises, turn the volume con-
trols of the amplifier/s to zero before switching on the
system and switch on the amplifier/s last. When
switching off the system, turn off the amplifier/s at
first. Even if all units are switched off, the internal fan
of the DJC-3TOP and DJC-1BASE has a small power
consumption until the system is disconnected from
the 230 V mains supply.
The amplifier of the subwoofer module only oper-
ates in bridge mode. The volume is thus only adjusted
with the left volume control. The right control remains
at zero.
