2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit
gekennzeichnet.
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefähr -
licher Netzspannung (230 V~) ver-
sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie selbst
Eingriffe am Gerät vor. Durch un -
sachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die
Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbe-
reich geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und
Spritz wasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hit ze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.

Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und ziehen
Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose:
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der
Netz anschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der
Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge -
recht repariert, kann keine Garantie für das Gerät
und keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach-
oder Personenschäden übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem ört -
lichen Recyclingbetrieb.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave ser-
vicing to skilled personnel only. Inex-
pert handling or modification of the
unit may cause an electric shock
hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g.
drinking glasses, on the unit.
G
Do not set the unit into operation, or immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly connected, operated, or not repaired in
an expert way.
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Gerät ist speziell zur Aufnahme von vier der fol-
genden Einschübe von MONACOR konzipiert:
PA-1120DM
PA-1130CD
PA-1130RCD Radio/CD-Spieler*
PA-1200C
PA-1200RDS AM/FM-Radio
*Von den Modellen mit einem CD-Spieler können max.
zwei Einschübe pro Grundgerät PA-1204EX eingesetzt
werden, anderenfalls wird das Netzteil überlastet!
4 Aufstellmöglichkeiten
Das Gerät ist für den Einschub in ein Rack
(482 mm/19") vorgesehen, kann aber auch als
Tischgerät verwendet werden. Für den Rackeinbau
wird eine Höhe von 3 HE benötigt (1 Höheneinheit =
44,5 mm).
5 Einbau eines Einschubs
1) Vor dem Einbau des Einschubs den Netzstecker
des PA-1204EX aus der Steckdose ziehen.
2) Die entsprechende Abdeckblende (1 – 4) für den
Einschubschacht abschrauben.
An der Abdeckblende ist die dreipolige An -
schlussleitung für das Einschubmodul befestigt.
Die Leitung abnehmen und in das entsprechende
Stiftgehäuse des Moduls stecken (siehe Bedie-
nungsanleitung des Moduls).
3) Den Einschub einsetzen und festschrauben.
4) Alle weiteren Installationsschritte sind der Bedie-
nungsanleitung des verwendeten Einschubs zu
entnehmen.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac cor-
d ance with the follow ing code:

green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications
The unit has especially been designed to accept
four of the following insertions by MONACOR:

PA-1200RDS AM/FM radio
*Concerning the models with a CD player, max. two inser-
tions can be installed per basic unit PA-1204EX, other-
wise the integrated power supply unit will be overloaded!
