5.2 SCREW TIGHTENING
1. Push the desired socket fully home on the square drive.
▶ The locking ball will audibly click into place.
2. Apply the torque wrench at right angles to the nut or
bolt that is to be tightened.
3. Apply force at the force application line of the handle.
▶ Read the torque at the dial gauge display.
CAUTION
4. Once the desired torque is reached, apply no more force.

5.3 ENDING THE TIGHTENING PROCEDURE
1. Remove the torque wrench from the object that was
tightened.
2. Gently pull the socket off the square drive.
3. Before the next use of the torque wrench,
▶ set the torque wrench to zero (see Section 5.1).
Risk of injury if the torque wrench is over-
loaded or misused!
▶ Once the desired torque is reached, apply
no more force.
▶ Do not exceed the specified torque for the
object to be tightened, or the maximum
rated torque of the torque wrench.
