4 Operation

Keep workpiece away from the demagnetizer before switching on.

Switch on the demagnetizer by pressing the operating switch to pos. 1.

The operating mode is indicated by the indication light.
Slowly move the workpiece (15 m/s to 20 m/s) from left to right or right

to left over the demagnetizer pole plate.
After workpiece-end make sure that it is moved away sufficiently (min. 30 cm)

from the pole plate, otherwise a magnetization of the workpiece can occur.
Please ensure that when the demagnetising device is switched off, the workpiece is likewise ca.

30 cm away from the pole plate as otherwise it is not possible to rule out the workpiece being

re-magnetised.
To prevent workpieces from scratching a thin sheet of carton or plastic may be
u
used between workpiece and pole plate.
The maximum height of the magnetic field is 75 mm.

If the workpiece is thicker and is magnetized on both sides, turn it around
u

and demagnetize the opposite side.

5 Inspection and Maintenance

Keep the device clean. Clean it with a damp cloth.

Check the table for damage before each use.
u
Check the presence and legibility of the type plate.
u
Check the cable and and plug weekly for any tear, damage or wear.

Store the demagnetizer in a dry and frost-free place.
