6) Connect the contact plate connecting cable to the controller.
7) The contact plate has to engage audibly in the lamination ring of the mounting plate (see
fig. 4).
8) Attach the controller inside the outer socket using adhesive tape.
7 Handling

7.1 Adjusting the electrodes

CAUTION
Incorrect electrode settings due to muscle fatigue
Injury due to faulty control or malfunction of the product.
Allow the patient to rest during the adjustment of the electrodes.
The best possible function of the prosthesis is achieved through optimal adjustment of the elec
trodes. This is readily possible with the 757M11=X Change MyoBoy (note the 64G265 and
647H490 instructions for use).

7.2 Control options

The two controllers (9E369/9E370) feature four different control versions. These control versions
can be selected with the coding plugs of different colours.

7.2.1 Dynamic mode control (DMC)
Opening and closing the electric hand 2000 is controlled with the use of two electrodes.
The gripping speed and gripping force are determined by the strength of the muscle signal.
Adjusting the electrodes
The desired program version has to be selected in the software.
Each electrode should be adjusted so that the patient can hold the muscle signal above the
"High" value for about 2 seconds.
7.2.2 Dynamic mode control "Low/Input" (DMC "Low/Input")
Opening and closing the electric hand 2000 is controlled with the use of two electrodes.
The gripping speed and gripping force are determined by the strength of the muscle signal.
In contrast to the DMC control, maximum gripping speed and gripping force are reached more
quickly in this mode. This control mode should only be used for patients with a low muscle poten
tial (below 20 µV).
Adjusting the electrodes
The desired program version has to be selected in the software.
Each electrode should be adjusted so that the patient can hold the muscle signal above the
"Low" value for about 2 seconds.
